Maths for Engineering is a pre-calculus course designed for students wishing to do engineering who haven’t done 2 Unit HSC Advanced Mathematics (or equivalent). It lays the foundation for students who are progressing towards a first course in calculus, by covering topics in algebra, graphing and trigonometry. For students entering the University of Newcastle, the course is ideally suited to you if you are intending to start your undergraduate mathematics in MATH1002, or for Open Foundation students, intending to do Extension Mathematics.
